About the Event

We shall meet 8.30 at Crowden Carpark (free) SK13 1HZ just off Woodhead Pass. Early start due to small carpark that can get busy later on.  From here we'll head up to Hey Edge (bag the trig at the centre of the bog of eternal stench if you dare).  Crossing Westerdale Moss to Tooleyshaw Moore and up to Black Hill Trig.  From here we'll follow the Pennine Way back to the car park via Laddow Rocks which give amazing views down Crowden Valley.

Warning:

This walk requires boots and possibly gaiters/overtrousers even when its dry as the Moorland is like a swamp in places.  Difficult terrain and exposed moorland can make this difficult for anyone not used to the terrain.
