Hayfield Circular - 12 Mile

This walk is a 12 mile* circular route starting at Hayfield, taking in Lantern Pike and its illusive trig, Cracken Edge, South Head and Mount Famine.  As with all our walks, expect fun and banter each step of the way, come rain or shine be prepared for a challenging terrain and possibly challenging weather.

*Terrain can dictate miles, the Peak District trails and walkways may be closed for repairs or for safety reasons.  Any change in weather may result in us taking to lower ground for the safety of the group.  Always allow a full day with a walking group, we can never give a finish time, but we always plan to finish in daylight hours. 

Free parking on the road is available from the Sportsman Pub up to the meet point at Bowden Bridge Car Park.  Please be respectful of local residents.

Please keep your dogs under control at all times, consider livestock and ground nesting birds.
